Ferris Wheel
Today, we finished our work early and decided to try out the local roller rink at “Star World” in the bazaar. It was still wet from the rain, and quite slippery slimy looking. At least they had cleared the pile of debris from the corner. Instead of trying on the probably fungal roller skates, we wandered over to the “amusement park”. I was not crazy enough to try it, but Kyle, Anna, Kirsten, and Chris climbed aboard the rickety ferris wheel, which happened to be man powered. Two men acted like monkeys and climbed all over, using their momentum to swing the ferris wheel. Sort of like a hamster in a wheel, but using gymnastics.

Meanwhile, Karen mounted the screeching rusty Pirate’s Ship, stood with out a harness and was swept back and forth in the air, as if she were on a magic carpet ride. The guy manually controlled when the ship would swing back down, and kept the pendulum quite high. He kept it going for at least 10-minutes, turning the machine off and back on at least three times. Kristy and I stood, gawked, and laughed.
